Job Description
Woodworking Assembler - $18/hr. (Shelby, NC)
Shift: 1st Shift | Monday – Friday | 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
- Overtime as needed (up to 10 hrs./day, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
- Rare Saturdays (6:00 AM – 11:00 AM, only 3–4 times/year)
Pay: $18.00/hr. | Temp-to-Hire | Weekly Pay
About the Role:
Personnel Services Unlimited (PSU) is hiring Woodworking Assemblers for a local manufacturer in Shelby, NC. This is a full-time, entry-level, temp-to-hire opportunity with the potential for growth and permanent hire.
What You’ll Do
- Assemble products using wood, metal, and plastic.
- Use carpentry/fabrication tools, follow blueprints, and ensure accurate assembly.
- Operate a forklift and move heavy sheets of wood.
- Apply basic math skills: fractions, decimals, and conversions.
- Assist with equipment maintenance/repairs as needed.
Requirements
- Forklift experience (required)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and read measurements to 1/16”
- Prior woodworking, laminate, carpentry, or construction experience a plus
- HS Diploma or GED
- Must pass drug screen, background check & ruler assessment test
