Job Description
About:
Personnel Services Unlimited is hiring Woodworking Assemblers for a full-time opportunity in Shelby, NC.
This temp-to-hire position offers the chance to work with a local manufacturer specializing in custom assembly work. This opportunity offers competitive pay and career growth.
Pay: $18.00/HR
Work Hours:
- Monday-Friday | 6:30 AM - 2:30 PM
- Some overtime as needed, with shift extending no later than 4:30 PM.
- Occasional Saturday work, typically 6:00 AM - 11:00 AM, about 3-4 times a year
Responsibilities Include:
As a Woodworking Assembler, you will:
- Assemble various custom products using materials such as wood, metal, and plastic.
- Utilize carpentry tools, including trim saws, vertical panel saws, and other equipment.
- Operate a forklift to transport materials safely.
- Apply basic math skills, including fractions, decimals, and conversions, for accurate measurements.
- Conduct equipment maintenance and repairs when needed.
- Follow blueprints and scale drawings to ensure high-quality assembly.
Job Skills and Requirements:
- Forklift experience is required.
- Previous experience in assembly, carpentry, or related fields is a plus.
- Ability to lift and move heavy materials (up to 50 lbs).
- Proficiency in reading measurements to 1/16” inch.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
Testing Requirements:
- Ruler Assessment test completion is required.
