Field Service Machine Technician
Job Description
- Install, service, troubleshoot, and repair industrial food processing and packaging equipment
- Perform preventive maintenance and emergency service repairs at customer sites
- Diagnose electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems issues
- Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
- Test equipment performance and make operational adjustments as needed
- Provide technical support and training to customers on machine operation and maintenance
- Complete service reports and maintain accurate documentation of work performed
- Collaborate with engineering and internal support teams to resolve complex technical issues
- Follow all company and customer safety procedures and protocols
- Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and current state-issued REAL ID required for air travel.
- Valid, non-expired passport required
- Ability to travel approximately 35%
- Previous experience servicing industrial machinery, packaging equipment, or automated production equipment
- Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read electrical schematics and technical documents
- Excellent problem solving and communication skills
- Ability to work independently in field service environments
- Experience with food processing or packaging equipment
- Knowledge of PLC’s, motors, sensors, hydraulics, and pneumatics
- Previous field service technician experience
- Pay: $29-$35/hour DOE
