Personnel Services Unlimited (PSU) is partnering with an established manufacturing company in Shelby, NC, to hire an on-site Staff Accountant with a strong Accounts Receivable focus.
This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys AR management, month-end close support, and cross-functional collaboration with a global finance team.
Responsibilities
- Handle daily AR-related accounting entries and customer payment tracking
- Perform AR aging analysis and customer account reconciliations
- Monitor aging reports, follow up on overdue receivables, and support collection activities
- Resolve customer payment discrepancies in a timely manner
- Support month-end closing, including bank reconciliation, sale analysis, and accruals
- Enter and post journal entries
- Serve as backup to the Finance Supervisor for the weekly payment run
- Assist headquarters with ad hoc data reporting and business data organization as needed
- Communicate and coordinate effectively with cross-departmental and international teams
Qualifications
- ERP experience required; SAP experience preferred
- Advance Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Experience supporting month-end close and financial reporting preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively with global teams; experience working with international headquarters is a plus
