Shipping and Receiving - New Opening!
Job Description
About the Role:
Personnel Services Unlimited is hiring for the Shipping Department for a local Shelby, NC company. We are looking for candidates with shipping skills, computer proficiency, and forklift experience is a plus.
This role is for the 1st shift, with working hours from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, and Fridays from 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM.
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour, depending on experience.
Benefits: Paid Weekly, Health Insurance, PTO, and referral bonuses.
Responsibilities include:
- Process and prepare shipments for distribution.
- Handle receiving tasks, including inspecting and documenting incoming shipments.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory and shipments using computerized systems.
- Ensure all shipments are packed and labeled correctly according to company standards.
- Coordinate with other departments to manage inventory levels and order fulfillment.
Job Skills and Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in shipping and receiving or a similar warehouse environment.
- Proficiency in using computer systems for inventory and shipping documentation.
- Forklift experience is a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
