Shipping Clerk – 1st Shift | Shelby, NC
 
About this Role:
Personnel Services Unlimited is seeking a motivated Shipping Clerk for our client in Shelby, NC. This is a 1st shift, full-time opportunity with the potential for permanent hire.

Pay: $18.00–$22.00/hour (based on experience)
Job Type: Full-time, Temp-to-Hire

Responsibilities Include:
  • Pull shipping tickets and prepare orders for shipment
  • Label, package, and address shipments
  • Create shipping labels and schedule truck shipments
  • Verify and inspect all small packages before shipment
  • Arrange third-party freight
  • Operate an industrial forklift and an order picker
Job Skills and Requirements:
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of integrity and professionalism
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with UPS WorldShip
  • Positive attitude with a self-motivated work ethic
  • Ability to follow instructions and rules precisely
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking
  • Proven team player with the ability to meet deadlines
     
Education & Experience:
• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required
• Minimum 1 year of warehouse or shipping-related experience
Physical Requirements:
• Position is 50% physical / 50% computer-based
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs as needed
