Retail Store Clerk
Job Description
- Provide outstanding customer service, ensuring that all customer needs are met.
- Assist customers with DIY projects by sharing product knowledge, features, and benefits.
- Build lasting relationships with customers to encourage repeat business.
- Operate the point of sale (POS) system, process payments, and handle credit authorizations.
- Help maintain organized and well-stocked shelves and clean and orderly stock rooms.
- Collaborate with team members to meet store goals and create a positive work environment.
- Previous sales and retail experience preferred.
- Knowledgeable about hardware supplies, tools, and handyman-related products.
- Friendly, with a strong customer service focus and a team-oriented mindset.
- Ability to operate a cash register and manage cash transactions.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Physical ability to lift and move items up to 25 lbs.
