About the Role
Personnel Services Unlimited is recruiting a Retail Store Manager-Nonprofit for a mission-driven retail environment that supports affordable housing and community initiatives. This hands-on leadership role oversees daily operations, volunteer coordination, customer service, and store logistics.
Personnel Services Unlimited is recruiting a Retail Store Manager-Nonprofit for a mission-driven retail environment that supports affordable housing and community initiatives. This hands-on leadership role oversees daily operations, volunteer coordination, customer service, and store logistics.
Responsibilities Include:
- Manage day-to-day retail operations, including merchandising, inventory, and equipment upkeep
- Supervise and support a team of cashiers, stockroom associates, and donation drivers
- Lead, train, and schedule volunteers and community service workers
- Maintain accurate financial records: sales, bank deposits, spreadsheets
- Assist with pricing, customer service, and donation intake
- Promote a safe, clean, and organized store environment
- Coordinate with leadership to support community-focused events and store initiatives
Job Skills and Requirements:
- Previous experience in retail management, customer service, or nonprofit operations
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to motivate volunteers and create a positive team culture
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel and basic office equipment
- Excellent problem-solving and time management abilities
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs independently (team lift for up to 100 lbs)
- Comfortable standing, bending, and working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
- Clean driving record and reliable transportation are required
- Must pass pre-employment background and drug screening
