Job Description
About the Role:
Personnel Services Unlimited is seeking candidates for a Purchasing Assistant opening in Gastonia, NC! This long-term temporary role is available on the 1st shift. Hours are (Mon- Thurs: 8:00am-4:00pm) and (Friday: 7a – 3:30pm)
Pay: $15 - $18/HR. DOE (Depending on Experience)
Responsibilities Include:
- Sending out and following up on requests for raw materials and parts quotes.
- Matching, reviewing, and entering quotes to determine the best price.
- Submitting and monitoring purchase orders to ensure timely shipments and communicating status updates.
- Maintaining vendor information and assisting accounting with invoice discrepancies.
Job Skills and Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong communication, multitasking, and focus in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Dependable and team-oriented.
