Plant Operations Manager
Pay: $80,000–$120,000 per year (Based on Experience) | Type: Direct Hire
About the Role:
Personnel Services Unlimited (PSU) is conducting a confidential search for an experienced Plant Operations Manager to lead production and operational activities for a manufacturing facility in the beautiful Charlotte Metro area.
This leadership position is responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing performance while driving continuous improvement and fostering a positive team culture. The ideal candidate is a results-driven leader with strong technical knowledge and a proven record of managing plant operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all plant functions including production, maintenance, inventory, and quality.
- Develop and implement strategies that drive productivity, cost control, and efficiency.
- Lead, coach, and mentor team members to build a high-performance, safety-focused culture.
- Analyze operational data and performance metrics to identify improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate with senior management to align plant goals with company objectives.
- Manage plant budgets, capital projects, and staffing to support growth and profitability.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards across operations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Operations, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 10 years of manufacturing experience, including 5+ years in a plant or operations leadership role.
- Experience in process manufacturing, chemical, or plastics industries preferred.
- Strong background in lean manufacturing and data-driven operational management.
- Proven financial management experience, including budgeting and capital project oversight.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and team-building skills.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
- Fluent in English; additional languages a plus.
About the Environment:
This role is based on-site at a manufacturing facility and requires regular floor presence to support operations and staff. Some travel may be necessary for company meetings or project coordination.
