Creeler-Knitting Machine Operator

Creeler (2nd shift -Full-Time – Shelby, NC)
Pay: $16.23/hr. | Schedule: 2nd Shift, 3:15 PM – 11:45 PM | Type: Full-Time, Temp-to-Hire
About the Role:
Personnel Services Unlimited (PSU) is hiring a Creeler for a leading textile manufacturer in Shelby, NC. The Creeler plays a key role in keeping production lines running by safely loading yarn onto creels and ensuring continuous operation throughout the shift.
Key Responsibilities:
- Load and replace yarn packages on creels.
- Operate pallet jack and forklift safely.
- Prepare yarn packages by pulling and combing tails, hanging tails in hooks, and cleaning with aspirator hoses.
- Splice yarn packages together for smooth transfer.
- Remove damaged yarn and replace foam pads as needed.
- Keep work area clean and organized; sweep and maintain creel rows.
- Inspect materials for quality issues and report or correct defects.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous manufacturing or textile experience helpful.
- Forklift certification a plus.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for most of the shift.
- Detail-oriented, reliable, and able to work safely in a fast-paced environment.
