Job Description
About the Role:
Personnel Services Unlimited is hiring for a Channel Strip Machine Operator for a Gastonia, NC, manufacturing company. This 1st shift, full-time, temp-to-hire opportunity can lead to permanent hire.
Pay: $15.00/HR
Benefits: PSU offers Health Insurance, Vacation & Holiday Pay, and Bonuses.
Hours: Monday-Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Responsibilities Include:
- Operate a range of machinery such as lathes, saws, punch presses, hand punches, sanders, and grinders.
- Assemble specialized ship hull cleaning brushes and remove bristles from worn brushes for reworking and refilling.
- Remove worn brush materials from brush cylinders, clean the cores, and refill them with new material.
- Able to Understand and follow paperwork and shop orders.
- Collaborate with other departments to meet production goals.
- Take on additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Job Skills and Requirements:
- Must be able to accurately read a ruler/scale/caliper.
- Possess an eye for details.
- Able to lift 50 pounds.
- Has experience working in manufacturing and industrial facilities.
- High School Diploma or GED

Marsha has her CTS certification from the National Association of Personnel Consultants.
