Process Control Operator
Pay: $28.00/hr. | Schedule: Full-time | Type: Temp-to-Hire Contract
 
About the Role:
Personnel Services Unlimited (PSU) is hiring a Process Control Operator for a local manufacturing company in the Dallas, NC area. 

This opportunity plays a key role in keeping production lines running smoothly by monitoring automated systems, adjusting process settings, and supporting extrusion operations. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, hands-on, and comfortable in a fast-paced industrial environment.

 
Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and monitor automated control systems to keep production within target specifications.
  • Adjust machine settings and process parameters for optimal efficiency and quality.
  • Assist with extrusion machine setup, operation, and troubleshooting as needed.
  • Collect and log process data; complete basic quality checks to verify consistency.
  • Work with maintenance and quality teams to resolve equipment or production issues quickly.
  • Follow all safety, environmental, and company policies to maintain a safe workspace.
  • Support continuous improvement by identifying ways to streamline processes and reduce downtime.
Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or technical certification in Process Technology, Automation, or related field; or equivalent hands-on experience
  • Background operating extrusion or other automated production equipment preferred.
  • Experience with ERP systems (such as NetSuite) and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform extended periods of standing or walking.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Fluency in English required, additional languages a plus.
About the Environment:
This role works on-site in a manufacturing setting, balancing time between the control room and production floor. Candidates should be comfortable around automated equipment and focused on safety and precision.
