About the Role
We’re hiring a Greenhouse & Laboratory Technician for one of our local clients. In this hands-on role, you’ll care for greenhouse plants, help maintain equipment, and support quality testing in a lab environment. If you enjoy working with plants, staying organized, and contributing to a team, this could be a great fit!
We’re hiring a Greenhouse & Laboratory Technician for one of our local clients. In this hands-on role, you’ll care for greenhouse plants, help maintain equipment, and support quality testing in a lab environment. If you enjoy working with plants, staying organized, and contributing to a team, this could be a great fit!
Responsibilities Include:
- Tracking seeds, samples, and plant inventory
- Assisting in the lab with testing (color, moisture, weight of vegetables)
- Calibrating and cleaning lab equipment
- Entering test data into computer systems
- Cleaning and organizing workspaces, growth chambers, and lab areas
- Following safety protocols and hygiene standards
- Watering, fertilizing, planting, pruning, and transplanting plants
- Managing greenhouse conditions (light, humidity, temperature)
- Monitoring for pests, diseases, and nutrient issues
- Recording observations and keeping organized records
- Performing light maintenance on greenhouse equipment
Job Skills and Requirements:
- 2–3 years of experience in a greenhouse setting
- At least 1 year of experience in a laboratory
- Willingness to learn and follow training
- Comfortable working both independently and with a team
- Strong attention to detail and time management
- Farming experience or equipment operation is a plus
- Local travel may be required
