Election Worker -New Opening!
Job Description
About the Role:
Personnel Services Unlimited is hiring Election Workers for the upcoming 2024 election!
These positions will assist in staffing four polling sites across Cleveland County, NC, during early voting and election day. They are temporary/seasonal roles that offer a variety of shifts. You will play a crucial part in ensuring a smooth voting process.
Pay: $13.00/HR
Benefits: PSU offers (Weekly Pay, Health Insurance, PTO, and Bonuses).
Shifts:
- Two Shifts for Monday - Friday: (7:30 am - 2:00 pm) and (1:30 pm to 8:00 pm)
- Saturday’s (7:30 am to 3:30 pm)
- Sunday’s (12:30 pm to 5:30 pm)
Positions Needed and Responsibilities include:
- Greeter: Welcome and direct voters into the facility. Assist in maintaining an orderly flow of foot traffic. (Requirement: Must be able to stand for long periods.)
- Check-In: Use basic computer skills to verify and look up registered voter information. Provide any necessary instructions to voters regarding the check-in process.
- Ballot Worker: Distribute ballots to voters and provide clear instructions on how to complete their ballots correctly.
- Ballot Machine Operator: Guide voters on how to properly insert their completed ballots into the voting machine. (Requirement: Must be able to stand for long periods).
- Curbside Worker: This person assists voters who cannot exit their vehicles to vote and will safely transport ballots to and from voters’ vehicles.
Job Skills and Requirements:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic computer literacy for check-in positions
- Ability to stand for long periods (required for certain positions)
- Pass Pre-employment drug test.

- Cleveland County Water ( Old office) Lawndale, NC
- Boiling Springs Town Hall
