About the Job
A manufacturing company in King Mountain, NC, is seeking a Chemical Operator to join their production team. This role involves filtering, packaging, and labeling chemicals while maintaining safety and quality standards in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure a safety-first culture through proper behavior and adherence to procedures.
- Perform filtration of quality-checked materials into appropriate containers.
- Package and label materials accurately for storage and shipping.
- Maintain inventory records and report product yields.
- Assist with batch-building and repacking of materials.
- Operate automated filling equipment and forklifts as required.
- Maintain work area cleanliness and general housekeeping.
- Follow hazardous waste management procedures and comply with all safety regulations.
- Participate in spill/emergency response training and execution.
- Use RF scanners to track batch tickets in SAP.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Experience in manufacturing or chemical handling is a plus.
- Ability to read, write, and follow written/verbal instructions in English.
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
- Must obtain forklift certification within 30 days of hire.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent standing, walking, reaching, and balancing.
- Occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
- Operate forklifts and move objects up to 25 lbs using lifting devices.
