Job Description
Our client, a manufacturer and global distributor located in Dallas, NC, is seeking an experienced Buyer to join their team. This is a full-time, on-site position reporting to the Supply Chain Manager. The Buyer will play a key role in procurement, ensuring timely, cost-effective, and quality acquisitions to support the company's operations.
- Manage procurement of raw materials, supplies, and services, ensuring timely delivery.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure quality and cost efficiency.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels in line with company goals and supply chain best practices.
- Evaluate supplier performance and negotiate contracts to achieve cost savings.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and quality standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet production and business objectives.
- Utilize procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite for reporting and analysis.
- Travel 10-15% of the time as required.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- A minimum of 3+ years of experience in procurement or purchasing, preferably in food manufacturing or a similar industry.
- Strong understanding of supply chain best practices and inventory management.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and quality standards.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
