Adjuster / Lead Person
PSU – Forest City, NC
$26 per hour | Full-Time | Non-Exempt
$26 per hour | Full-Time | Non-Exempt
PSU is hiring an experienced Adjuster / Lead Person to support production and lead shift personnel in a Converting Department. This hands-on leadership role is ideal for someone with strong mechanical skills who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and support shift personnel to ensure safe, efficient production
- Train and coach team members on machine operation, adjustment, and safety procedures
- Perform advanced machine adjustments and assist maintenance as needed
- Conduct quality checks to ensure product standards are met
- Set print and gauge printers
- Step into operator duties as required
- Provide performance feedback to Shift Supervisor
- Work overtime as needed, including Saturdays and holidays
What We’re Looking For
- High school diploma or GED
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Ability to read a ruler to 1/32”
- Personal tool set and toolbox required
- Basic computer and math skills
- Strong communication and leadership abilities
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and climb ladders
Work Environment
- Manufacturing setting (non-climate controlled)
- Exposure to noise, dust, moving mechanical parts, and hot conditions
- Required PPE: hearing protection, safety shoes, eye protection
