Maintenance Associate – Shelby, NC
Pay: $13.00/hr. | Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
About the Role:
Personnel Services Unlimited (PSU) is hiring a Maintenance Associate for a local company with two facilities in the Shelby area. This hands-on role handles general building maintenance, light repairs, and support tasks to keep operations running smoothly.
Key Duties:
- Replace lightbulbs, filters, and perform basic repairs
- Assist with painting, plumbing, and small vehicle maintenance
- Operate forklift to move materials or load/unload trailers
- Help with general upkeep across both facilities
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Maintenance or repair experience preferred
- Able to lift 50 lbs and work indoors/outdoors
- Flexible, team-oriented, and safety-minded
- No criminal history, clear background check required.

Marsha is the Shelby office Service Manager who oversees daily recruiting and staffing operations.
In 1996, she came to Personnel Services Unlimited seeking temporary employment. After completing several assignments, she joined the PSU Staffing team and found her dream job helping others, just like her, find great jobs and meaningful careers. Marsha has her CTS certification from the National Association of Personnel Consultants.
With 25 years of experience, knowledge, and passion, Marsha achieves our clients’ staffing goals by consistently matching the right candidate to the right job.
When not in the office, she enjoys spending time with her family, her two puppies ( Abby and Oscar), her cat (Gerald), and working in her garden.
