Job Description
Personnel Services Unlimited is seeking candidates for a Shipping Manager opening! This first shift, full-time, long-term opportunity can lead to a permanent hire. Pay is $25.00 - $29.00/hr., based on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead shipping staff, including clerks and order pickers.
- Resolve shipping issues and ensure compliance with regulations and company policies.
- Collaborate with warehouse, inventory, and purchasing teams to optimize processes.
- Manage the flow of packages from preparation to shipment.
- Handle all shipping documents, including packing slips and international paperwork.
- Prepare and label orders for shipment.
- Schedule truck shipments and verify small packages.
- Arrange third-party freight and operate industrial equipment as needed.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Proven experience as a Shipping Manager.
- Strong knowledge of logistics and shipping procedures.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and shipping software (e.g., UPS WorldShip).
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma required; BSBA in supply chain or logistics is a plus.
- Minimum of one year of warehouse-related experience.
- Forklift operation experience preferred.
